Installing Megaladata Desktop for Linux
Megaladata Desktop for Linux is distributed as an archive:
- Personal edition:
megaladata-personal-7.x.x.tar.gz - Community edition:
megaladata-community-7.x.x.tar.gz
where 7.x.x indicates the version and release numbers of the program.
To begin, unpack the archive using any archiver or run one of these commands:
tar -xf megaladata-personal-7.x.x.tar.gzfor the Personal editiontar -xf megaladata-community-7.x.x.tar.gzfor the Community edition
The unpacked megaladata-personal or megaladata-community directory contains the Megaladata program files. To launch Megaladata Desktop, simply run the executable megaladata file from this directory.
This directory also includes a script to create a desktop shortcut for Megaladata Desktop:
./install-shortcut.sh
Note:
- The archive includes a
README.txtfile with installation instructions and other useful information.- If you use third-party libraries, you may need to install them additionally.
