Megaladata Desktop for Linux is distributed as an archive:

  • Personal edition: megaladata-personal-7.x.x.tar.gz
  • Community edition: megaladata-community-7.x.x.tar.gz

where 7.x.x indicates the version and release numbers of the program.

  • tar -xf megaladata-personal-7.x.x.tar.gz for the Personal edition
  • tar -xf megaladata-community-7.x.x.tar.gz for the Community edition

The unpacked megaladata-personal or megaladata-community directory contains the Megaladata program files. To launch Megaladata Desktop, simply run the executable megaladata file from this directory.

This directory also includes a script to create a desktop shortcut for Megaladata Desktop:

Note:

  1. The archive includes a README.txt file with installation instructions and other useful information.
  2. If you use third-party libraries, you may need to install them additionally.
